Post Smolt Sea Lice Monitoring

The post smolt survey sites are chosen to include sites that are connected to the Area Management Agreements and also to incorporate control sites located around the island out with the AMA areas or at the very least in non fish farm areas.

The overall objective of this initiative is to improve the health of wild and farmed fish stocks through the development of Area Management Agreements (AMAs) in coastal and inland waters. Burdens of sea lice greater than 30 are deemed fatal to smolts.
